Los Encinos Hill Coutry Estate - Haven't we Met?

Congratulations to Michelle Johnson and Aaron Sowder. They were recently married at Los Encinos Hill Country Estate on September 4, 2005. Michelle looked like a celebrity. She wore a beautiful form fitting gown from Jullian Gold. Aaron looked like....well, like he did 5 years ago when we photographed his brother's wedding also at Los Encinos. As the family gathered for the formal photographs it was like greeting family for the holidays. As if all the time in between had only been a few months ago. Hand shakes and hugs and smiles.

What happens if it Rains?

As the old saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Texas....all you have to do is wait...... about 10 minutes", and so it did September 3rd. The waterfall ceremony site at Canyon Springs was complete and guests were arriving as the rain came down. The Bride was still at her home, about 5 miles from the Club where it was overcast but as dry as can be. The groom called and asked that she stay a bit longer as he tended to some minor details (seated the guests inside, created an "alter", lined the isle with candelabras, reconfigured the lighting, and confirmed the sound check). Shortly thereafter the Bride was informed of the changes, she arrived at the doorway and entered with her dad at her side.....smiling....at her groom, as if always planned this way.

At that moment we had witnessed a true testament of the of the word Trust.

So what happens when it Rains?

Absolutely nothing.

No, Really, I'm doing a wedding

Wednesday, August 31st

Winfield on the phone leaving a message for Kevin:

"Hey, Kevin it's Winfield. I'm returning your call. Don't call me back. I'm doing a wedding."

Is he: 1. Buying more time, 2. Blowing him off, or 3. Photographing a wedding on a Wednesday

Answer: He's photographing a wedding on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Melissa Gonzales and Jose Reyes! They were married at San Jose Mission in front of 12 close friends and family. The reception was held at Zinc. It is located just off of Commerce next to The Vault. Zinc's wine cellar was the setting for the intimate gathering. Jennifer of A Regal Affair handled all the aspects of the wedding incorporating her talents of Floral Design, Table Dressings, and Invitations. This wedding is definitely one for The Knot.
If you have not been to the wine cellar at Zinc's it is definitely worth checking out. The photographs will be online at www.winfieldlittle.com in a few weeks.
